Two sisters from Virginia, Lexi and Lauren Bates, opened a coffee truck called Two Sisters Coffee Company in 2021. They aim to spread joy in their community through their coffee. Lexi had always wanted to open a coffee shop, and after graduating from college in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to make it happen with the help of her younger sister. They bought a 57 Chevy bread van from Facebook marketplace, fixed it up, and went to a barista training school in Portland to learn how to make specialty coffee beverages. Despite some challenges, the sisters' business venture has brought them closer together.
