Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and the Society for Science announced the winners of the 2023 Regeneron Science Talent Search, a science and math competition for high school seniors in the US. Neel Moudgal won first place and $250,000 for creating a computer model that can predict the structure of RNA molecules to diagnose and treat diseases. Emily Ocasio and Ellen Xu won second and third place, respectively, for their projects. The competition aims to empower young people passionate about innovation and scientific discovery and to discover sustainable solutions to the world's most pressing challenges.
