Scientists Create World's first 3D-Printed Cheesecake in 30 Minutes

Engineers at Columbia University have created a 3D-printed vegan cheesecake that takes just 30 minutes to produce. The cake was made using seven edible inks to create layers of peanut butter, Nutella, cherry drizzle, banana puree, strawberry jelly, and whipped cream, all sitting atop a graham cracker base. The engineers hope to demonstrate how precision printing of multi-layered foods could lead to more customisable meals, improved food safety, and easier nutrient control.
