Jerry Tonjes, the owner of JT's Building and Construction in Napoleon, has gained recognition for his recent act of kindness. After Jamie Wirick called around 50 contractors, Tonjes was one of three to get back to them about building a ramp for her father, who had recently undergone knee replacement surgery and was in a wheelchair. Tonjes measured the home on Friday and completed the ramp by Tuesday with no cost to the Wiricks. He declined payment for his time and work, saying it was "just a good gesture that I just felt I had to do for her." Tonjes hopes his act of kindness can inspire others to bring light into other people's lives.
