Stephen Pegler, a resident of Okotoks, Alberta, received incredible news when he discovered that he had won $5 million in the Lotto 6/49 lottery. In a much-needed turn of events, Pegler immediately knew where he wanted the money to go. He expressed his intention to use the winnings to help a friend in need who requires medical tests in the United States, aiming to ease the financial burden on the friend's family. Pegler feels that this fortunate timing is the universe's way of making up for the challenging past couple of years his family has experienced. Alongside assisting their friend, Pegler and his wife plan to allocate some money towards retirement and hope to visit their daughter in London, England.
