Tim and Melinda O'Brien, a couple from Kansas City, are celebrating their 40th anniversary and decided to use a long-lost gift certificate to commemorate the milestone. When preparing for their upcoming anniversary, they stumbled upon a certificate for the old Muehlebach Hotel where they had spent their wedding night in 1983. Curious if it would still be honored, they reached out to the hotel and were delighted to learn that they would indeed honor the certificate even though the exact room they stayed in was no longer available. The couple plans to stay at the hotel again on their anniversary and revisit some downtown Jazz spots they missed out on 40 years ago.
