Lakeland Woman Wins $2M After Using Life Savings to Pay for Daughter's Cancer Treatment



Geraldine Gimblet, a mother from Lakeland, Florida, won $2 million on a $2,000,000 Bonus Cashword scratch-off game after her persistence paid off. The gas station clerk initially told her there were no tickets left, but she asked him to double-check because she preferred the crossword games. She completed the puzzle and realized she had won. The day before she won, her daughter had just beaten breast cancer, and Gimblet had taken out her life savings to take care of her. Her daughter expressed happiness for her mother's win after all the sacrifices she made.
