The study suggests that human beings might have the potential to live beyond our current "maximum age," with advancements in longevity research, including anti-aging medications, playing a significant role. However, scientists still believe that it will be challenging for most people to live past 115 years old, with Jeanne Calment, who died at 122 years old, being the only person to have lived beyond 120. The paper published in PLOS One by a risk management professor at The University of Georgia suggests that women born in 1940 in Japan may achieve a maximum age of 125 or 130 years old, with those born in the US capping out at 120 to 125 years old.
