How One Blind Boy Helped Rebuild his School in Yemen

Ahmed, an 11-year-old blind boy in Yemen, continues to capture attention for his resilience amid the nearly decade-long civil war in the country. First featured by the BBC two years ago, Ahmed was teaching a class in a school that had been bombed, near the conflict's front line. Despite a ceasefire last year that has somewhat reduced violence, the war shows no signs of ending, and the BBC team, led by Orla Guerin, returned to the city of Taiz to check on Ahmed's well-being. His story serves as a poignant reminder of the human cost and enduring spirit in the face of Yemen's ongoing crisis.
