Florists in Kingston, Ontario are working on their busiest day of the year, while students at Kingston Secondary School are celebrating Valentine's Day with activities like dances and performances. A class of seventh graders purchased and put together 18 Valentine's Day gift baskets for pediatric patients at Kingston General Hospital who may not have friends or family around. This is the second year the class has done this, and the students found it rewarding to do a good deed on Valentine's Day.
