In Westville, Florida, a family dog has been hailed as a hero for alerting its owner of a nearby barn fire. According to reports, a teenager called the Walton County Sheriff's Office after his dog started barking at the flames, alerting him to the fire. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found the barn completely engulfed in flames and spreading to nearby woods. Firefighters were able to control the fire after over thirty minutes, preventing it from spreading to other nearby structures. Sadly, the fire claimed the lives of several animals. However, thanks to the dog's quick action and instincts, the situation was not as catastrophic as it could have been. The cause of the fire is believed to have been an electrical issue inside the barn.
