Dutch Woman Breaks Oldest World Record in Track

Femke Bol, the Olympic 400m hurdles bronze medalist, broke the women's indoor 400m world record with a time of 49.26 seconds at the Dutch indoor championships. She broke the previous record of 49.59 seconds held by Czech Jarmila Kratochvilova since 1982. Bol also holds the fastest time in history in the indoor 500m and 300m hurdles. She is the third-fastest woman in history in the 400m hurdles.
