Cuddles on Loan: Oregon Library’s Robo-Cats Spark Joy and Companionship

The Eugene Public Library in Oregon is spreading joy and companionship through its innovative "Library of Things" collection, which now includes adorable robotic cats. These fluffy friends, named Bandit, Mr. Pickles, and Percival, purr and meow, bringing comfort and smiles to patrons, especially those experiencing memory loss or loneliness. The initiative, embraced during the pandemic, showcases the library's creative approach to community service. Beyond books, patrons can borrow diverse items, from musical instruments to baking pans, proving libraries can be a source of endless wonder and warm, fuzzy moments.
