Boeing Employee Bought Lottery Ticket Because it was at $747M and Won

An Auburn resident and Boeing employee won the $754.6 million Powerball jackpot on February 6, 2021, which was the ninth-largest Powerball jackpot won in U.S. history. She decided to buy a lottery ticket after seeing a sign on the Lottery vending machine at the Auburn Fred Meyer, showing the estimated jackpot at $747 million, and realizing that Boeing had just delivered its last 747 jumbo jet. The store that sold the winning jackpot ticket announced that it would be giving their $50,000 bonus to the Auburn Food Bank.
