The Homemade Cafe in southwest Berkeley, California, has been offering free breakfast to anyone who is hungry, with no questions asked, for several years. The initiative, called the "Everybody Eats Program," was made official during the pandemic when food insecurity increased. The owner, Collin Doran, serves a basic two-eggs breakfast with home fries and toast as part of the program.
