Amazon's "Alexa, Thank My Driver" initiative rewarded Amazon delivery drivers with $5 when customers said "thank you" through Alexa-enabled Amazon devices. Greylon Anthony, a Charlotte-based delivery driver, received $10,000 as one of the top five nominees in the program and donated it to the Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital. Amazon received over 8 million "thank yous" through the program, and the company originally allocated funds to give the five drivers who received the most thank-you's $10,000. While the program no longer provides financial compensation, drivers who have been selected will receive a note of appreciation from the company.
