Alligator Stolen From a Zoo More Than 20 Years Ago Returns to Same Zoo
The alligator was found in the care of a former zoo volunteer who had allegedly stolen either an egg or young alligator hatchling and kept it as a pet. The volunteer was unable to obtain the permits required to possess alligators in Texas, so officials from Texas Parks and Wildlife contacted Animal World Snake Farm and Zoo, who were the rightful owners of the alligator. Employees from the zoo traveled to the woman's house to retrieve the alligator, which has now been returned to its original home.
