A 5-year-old girl from Sault Saint Marie, Ontario, Juliette Lamour, won the state's second-largest lottery jackpot of CAD$48 million. In 2010, she and her sister helped raise money for Haiti by donating the money from their piggy bank to the Canadian Red Cross. Juliette recently claimed the prize at the Ontario lottery offices after being encouraged by her grandfather to buy a ticket. She was initially unsure how to buy the ticket but with her father's help, she was able to purchase a QuickPick. Her father is a financial advisor, ensuring she won't spend the money recklessly.
