Under the Zacchaeus Tree: Outdoor Classes During COVID-19

Writer: Aryaman Sinha Aryaman Sinha

Thanks to COVID-19, Associate Professor of English Patricia Bart’s students get to enjoy the outdoors while learning about great books. “I just decided, until we have to be driven in, let’s just sit outside,” she said. “I’m not overly worried about getting coronavirus myself or other people getting it. But I figure, why get it?” In August, Bart gave her students the heads up that class would be outside as long as weather permitted. I know this is great, I love it, but don't get me wrong, it would be kinda nice if this entire global pandemic thing ended, right?
