S’porean Man Travels 6,517 KM to Return WWII Artifacts to Original Owners After 8-Month Search

Writer: Aryaman Sinha Aryaman Sinha

Wesley Leon Aroozoo, a lecturer at Lasalle College of the Arts and a vintage collector, stumbled upon old work booklets from the Nazi regime when he made a purchase from a stamp collector. He later discovered that the documents belonged to Wolfgang and Woldamar Scheck, two brothers from Germany, and set out to locate their family members. Aroozoo spent countless nights scouring the internet to find them, sending messages to people with the surname Scheck and combing through various social media platforms. Despite receiving some replies, he was unable to locate any family members. Aroozoo's quest to return the items was driven by his belief that people would want their family documents back if he had them.
