Bill Gates is funding Novavax for its vaccine trial. They started Phase 1, on Monday evening. Phase 1 includes approximately 130 participants ages 18 to 59. If Phase 1 is successful, Novavax will follow up with Phase 2. This means that there will be a higher chance we might have a successful vaccine by the end of the year.
