Latvia's new government is using impounded cars from drunk drivers and sending them to the Ukrainian army instead of auctioning them off. The program was proposed by the Prime Minister and championed by the finance ministry. It originated from a Latvian social movement that has already donated over 1,000 cars to Ukraine.
